What Does your Differential Do?

A differential is where power for most vehicles makes a stop before spinning the wheels. Differentials have three main jobs which include sending power to the wheels, acting as a final gear reduction which slows the rotation speed of the transmission one last time before hitting the wheels, and lastly, transmitting power to the wheels while letting them rotate at various speeds.

Brads Transmission Service Ltd offers rebuilding of most types of differentials. We also offer upgrades to many different types of posi-trac and limited slip differentials for added traction in snow, ice or mud.
